Come See John Dear!
Not the tractor, but the Jesuit priest, peace activist, author, and inspirational speaker, oft-nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Rev. Dear will be speaking in Madison and signing copies of his new book as part of a 50-city book tour. This event will take place on Wednesday, April 4, at 7 p.m. at James Reeb Unitarian Universalist, 2146 E. Johnson Street. The event is free and open to the public. A free will collection will be taken up to help defray Rev. Dear’s travel expenses.
They Will Inherit the Earth: Peace & Nonviolence in a Time of Climate Change is the title of John Dear’s latest book. In it he connects the way of active nonviolence with solidarity with Creation and shows how our global epidemic of violence and war is leading to catastrophic climate change.
