Often family members are put in the unfortunate position of needing to make decisions about their loved ones’ health care. If you have not discussed your wishes with your family, these decisions become more difficult.
In honor of the fifth annual National Health Care Decisions Day on April 16, the State Bar of Wisconsin is offering free online access to the booklet A Gift for Your Family from April 9 to 23. This 28-page guide was developed through a partnership with the Wisconsin Medical Society, the Wisconsin Hospital Association and Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center to educate the public about issues surrounding end-of-life decisions, such as power of attorney for health care, living wills, and organ and tissue donation.
