Is it a refresher course in Lutheran History? Is it a booster shot of spirituality?
For 20 days in January Tom Martin-Erickson toured parts of Germany with students, staff and alumni of Wartburg Seminary. They followed in the steps of Martin Luther and Dietrich Bonhoffer, and became acquainted with 18th century pietists August Francke and Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf. In Bavaria they visited Neuendettelsau, a cradle of 19th century American missionary work. It wasn’t a pilgrimage, but it was a trip of a lifetime.
Tom will share memories and images of the trip during adult learning sessions on 3 and 10 March (In Germany the date comes before the month).
We will also have fresh cinnamon rolls available as a fund raiser for Lutheran Social Services. Come with a hunger for learning and for sweets!
