On Sunday, July 28 and Thursday, August 1, Dane County Jail Chaplain John Mix will be our guest preacher. He has sent us a list of items that can be donated to the jail ministry in advance of his arrival. Currently there is a need for spare clothes for people leaving jail. (Sometimes the clothes they wore when booked into jail are kept as evidence, damaged or otherwise unsuitable for wearing on release.) They are in need of used but wearable shoes (any kind) of mid-range sizes (7 to 10), shirts, tops, and pants for women and men. Socks and t-shirts are in constant demand—white only, no colors.
If you can help, please bring items to church by Thursday, August 1 for Chaplain Mix to pick up. There will be a collection box in the lower narthex. Thank you!
