Get a Flu Shot! Keep Yourself and Your Family Healthy
Are you ready for flu season? Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory disease that can lead to serious complications, hospitalizations or even death. Anyone can get flu, even healthy people, and vaccination is the single best way to protect yourself and your family against influenza.

Sunday, September 22nd
10am-12:30pm at Lake Edge United Church of Christ (4200 Buckeye Rd)
Tuesday, September 24th
9-10am at Westminster Senior Apartments (6160 Dell Dr.)
11am-2pm at Dane County Human Services (1202 Northport Dr.)
3-6pm at Home Health United – Madison West (4639 Hammersley Rd.)

Flu shots cost $30 and are covered by Medicare Part B and Medicaid. Medicare and Medicaid recipients MUST present all of their insurance cards at the clinic. Cash, check, VISA and MasterCard are also accepted. All immunizations are administered by nurses.
For those who do not want injected vaccine, FluMist®, an intranasal vaccine, is available for healthy people ages 2-49. Cost for intranasal vaccine is $32. A high dose vaccine is available for $50.
Annual influenza immunization is necessary because the influenza virus changes from year to year. The flu vaccine you got last year wasn’t designed to fight the virus strains in circulation this flu season. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the flu vaccine as the first and most important step in preventing flu.
