“If we really believe that prayer is powerful, why aren’t we praying for our leaders more these days?”
It was a question raised in our Wednesday Bible study, and it prompted us to determine that people of faith like us really should walk the talk. Next Wednesday, October 23, anyone who wishes to pray for our government is invited to meet on the second floor of the Capitol building at noon for a silent prayer. If you want to carpool, meet in the parking lot of Trinity at 11:30 a.m. There is no agenda except to lift up to God those who govern, asking that they be filled with courage, strength, and compassion.
