The Synod’s refugee team desperately needs your help!
Do you remember setting up a household? Often family and friends help out. When refugees arrive from Nepal or Iraq or elsewhere they turn to new friends from congregations in our synod to help. A family of six will be arriving in Madison on February 5. Furniture, kitchen supplies, bedding, and bathroom supplies are needed for newly arriving refugees.
Our synod website has details about specific items that are needed and what goes into each of the six types of welcome boxes. Click this link to download and print the lists, or pick up a copy on the table in the narthex at church.
You are asked to assemble and also deliver the box or boxes to the new living quarters. Contact George or Solveig Carlson (geosolv65@yahoo.com) for delivery information. They are also happy to visit your congregation to explain more about this meaningful ministry.
