Our friends at Community Action Coalition asked us to help them spread the word that they need volunteers to help with the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Volunteers are needed in Madison for the annual National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 10, 2014. This is the largest food drive in Dane County. The Food that is collected needs to be sorted and then distributed to area food pantries, where it will be made available to low-income individuals and families.
We need energetic individuals (age 15 & older) or groups from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. (or any portion of that time) who are able to lift up to 25 lbs. Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin, Inc. (CAC) is helping to coordinate the event.
