October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On Thursday, October 22, nearly 90 Dane County restaurants including 40 in Madison will donate 10% of their customer’s tab to Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) which operates the only domestic violence shelter serving all of Dane County. DAIS also provides other services to those dealing with abuse including a 24-Hour Help Line, crisis invention, legal advocacy and support groups as well as community education and prevention programs.
