Members of the Southeastern Michigan Synod are serving their neighbors in the wake of the lead-poisoned water crisis in Flint by addressing the immediate need for clean drinking water in the city. Salem Lutheran Church is at the center of a water drive, distributing lead-removing filters and raising funds for a new pipes and filtration system for the church to supply water in the community.
