OutReach Madison Pride Parade

Trinity Lutheran is a Reconciling in Christ congregation.

All congregations and individuals from the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin are invited to participate in the OutReach Pride Parade on Sunday, August 20. The parade route is down part of State Street and around the Capitol Square. There are several ways for people to participate in the day’s activities. You and your congregation are invited to walk in the parade—bring your own banners and signs expressing pride, if you wish. There also will be some materials provided on the day of the event if you would like to make a sign then. If you would rather not walk the full length of the parade, and sitting under a tent is more your speed, we will be sharing a booth near the Capitol. This would also be a great place to give away trinkets, brochures, or other information you would like to share about your congregation or ministries.

Tentative schedule for Sunday, August 20:

11 – 11:45 a.m.
Sign making with other parade participants at St. John’s Lutheran Church (322 E. Washington Ave., Madison) or at our booth space near the capitol (to be determined)

1:00 p.m.
March in the parade (line up begins at noon on State St.)

12 noon – 3 p.m.
Gather at the booth with RIC Lutheran churches and others from the synod

If you have any questions or are interested in participating in any part of the day, contact Jill Ness for more details: (608) 515-5909 or jilln@stjohnsmadison.org.
