Jazz Thanksgiving Festival Worship

Since St. John’s is in transition following the retirement of Pastor Ken Smith, we will not be having our usual combined Thanksgiving Eve worship. Fear not! We’ve been invited to join an ecumenical gathering of area congregations on Sunday evening, November 19 at 6 p.m. for a service of Thanksgiving celebration!

It is hosted by St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church this year (5700 Pheasant Hill Rd., Monona) and will provide ample opportunities to offer thanksgiving for all that God has provided, as well as lively music provided by the combined choirs and accompanied by the Janesville-based jazz band, the JJs.

Offerings in support of the food pantry will be collected, including donations of non-perishable items. Want to join the festival choir for this service and sing with the big band? Rehearsals are on Wednesdays Nov. 8 and 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Lift every voice and sing!
