Diakonia Courses Return to Trinity

Diakonia is a Greek word meaning spirit-empowered service guided by faith. The Diakonia program is a two-year process of spiritual formation and theological education for baptized members of the ELCA or anyone wishing in good faith to study the teachings of the church. Courses will be offered at Trinity on Saturday mornings beginning Sept. 8. Details and registration forms are available in the Narthex. Interested participants do not need to sign up for the entire series, but are encouraged to attend the courses of interest to them that work with their schedules. The cost of each course is $60, with a nonrefundable $25 enrollment fee.

Trinity members JoAnn Fabie and Ericka Short have both been a part of the synod’s Diakonia program. You are welcome to see them for further information or if you have questions about the program. You also may contact Barbara Zimmerman at (608) 535-0264 or scswdiakonia@gmail.com.
