Trinity has entered a partnership with Luke’s Closet, Dane County’s only clothing bank for foster, adoptive and kinship care families. Kinship care is when a child is being cared for by a relative, or a nonrelative who has a bond with the birth family. This often-forgotten population frequently operates on the financial margins while caring for children who may have arrived with just the clothes on their backs. They are big on love and often small on money. The mission of Luke’s Closet is to help clothe the children, freeing families to focus on other needs. Clothes provided through Luke’s Closet are free for the families, who can shop the Closet during designated times or request a clothing delivery.
Trinity is now a designated site on the East Side for families who have made arrangements to pick up clothing provided by Luke’s Closet, which is located at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Middleton.
