Trinity Lutheran Church Women (TLCW) will be sending School Kits and Personal Care Kits to Lutheran World Relief in September. Given the challenges of shopping this year, we are encouraging monetary donations. You can send them by mail to our mailing address 1904 Winnebago St., Madison, WI 53704 (please note LWR Kits in the memo line) or online at tlcmsn.org/giving. These donations will be used to purchase online or for a smaller group to do the shopping on behalf of TLCW.
Please do what is best for your health and safety, but if you prefer shopping or have certain items on hand, please see the list of most-needed items provided below. In order to provide a ‘no-touch drop off’, purchased items can be left in the donation box just inside the Winnebago entrance during regular business hours (ring the bell to be buzzed in). In order to limit exposure to our office staff, we ask that you not visit the office unless absolutely necessary.
Donations will be collected through Tuesday, September 8.
The most needed items include:
- 70 sheet, spiral notebooks of wide or college ruled paper
- Pencil sharpeners
- Black or blue ballpoint pens
- 30-centimeter rulers, or a ruler with centimeters on one side, inches on the other
- Boxes of 16 or 24 crayons
- Light-weight bath size towels (dark color recommended)
- 4 to 5 oz. bars of soap
- Metal nail clippers
