Trinity Pet Festival

Sunday, October 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In honor of the animal companions in our neighborhood, Trinity is hosting a public festival and fundraiser on Sunday, October 3 from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. in the church parking lot at 1904 Winnebago Street. The fundraiser will benefit Underdog Pet Rescue, a Madison-based, all-breed companion animal rescue. During the festival, we’ll be giving away free goodie bags to our canine and feline friends, and attendees will have a chance to win one of three gift baskets.

Our neighborhood pet supplies store, bad dog frida, has generously donated the goodie bags, as well as treats, toys, and gift certificates for the prize baskets. There is no cost to participate in the drawing, but we hope bad dog frida’s generosity will inspire your generosity towards Underdog Pet Rescue. The drawing will take place at 1:00 p.m.

For humans, there will be food provided by the Holy Cow Food Truck. Holy Cow operates on a pay-as-you-can basis, and all profits from food sales will go to Underdog as well. There will also be live music by Trinity’s Global Music Ensemble, a group of professional musicians who lead our worship one Sunday a month. The festival will conclude with a Pet Blessing service in commemoration of St. Francis of Assisi, who was known for his love of animals.

All furry, spiky, slimy, feathery friends great and small are welcome. Just make sure they are on a leash or otherwise safely secured.
