Midweek Worship Series:
Living Our Baptism: Five Gifts of Discipleship
Join us on Wednesday evenings during Lent for contemplative worship using Holden
Evening Prayer. Before worship, join us for snacks and fellowship. Lent is traditionally a season for faith formation. In the early church, new converts to Christianity would engage in a time of preparation for baptism by learning the basics of the faith. This year we too will go back to the basics of discipleship with our theme, “Living Our Baptism: Five Gifts of Discipleship.”
March 4: “To live among God’s faithful people”
March 11: “To hear the Word of God and share in the Lord’s Supper”
March 18: “To proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed”
March 25: “To serve all people, following the example of Jesus”
April 1: “To strive for justice and peace in all the earth”
We will have a time of fellowship with light refreshments beginning at 5:30 p.m., with worship at 6:00. We will use Holden Evening Prayer by Marty Haugen.
