There is a shortage of poll workers in many places. A lack of poll workers can lead to confusion and long lines. As part of their participation in ELCAvotes, the Lutheran Office for Public Policy in Wisconsin is helping to recruit poll workers beginning with a focus on Dane County.

Did you know that you can legally take off work and in Madison be paid for being a poll worker? Did you know if you are a student 16 and older in Madison and have a 3.0 grade point average you can take off of school and be paid to be a poll worker? For both adults and youth in Madison, the payment is $13.62 per hour.
